Nowadays the new trend in town is to eat healthy everyone is battling with bad eating habits in one way or another. Being one of those people who are trying to eat healthy too, i decided to take mine to a different direction. All the time we are advised to watch our portions and the types of food we put into our system, but most people forget to talk about the method of cooking. So i decided why not use my little knowledge with you on how different cooking methods contribute in a huge way to healthy eating.
So i have decided to share a series of five recipes of ways to cook healthy. You can cook healthy using the following methods:
- Stir frying
So i will try and incorporate the above methods in the five recipes. ( hope it works out and you pick something from this series)
Spicy pasta.Boiled eggs.Steamed vegetables
- Pasta-bowl full
- green capsicum
- 2 eggs
- garlic cloves
- curry powder
- tomato paste
- fresh chilly
- garam masala
- Bring pasta to boil (you can boil with garlic, i personally love the taste of garlic in my food). Drain some of the boiling stalk into a tin. wash the pasta.
- Put a little water into the pot instead of oil, add the tomato paste plus all the spices till the paste forms a thick smooth consistency. Then finally put in the pasta in the paste to simmer for a few minutes.
- Boil the eggs ( let me give you a little secret if you are a student like me on a budget when boiling your water for showering in the kettle put in the eggs and boil the for two rounds just to be safe).
- Put the chopped vegetables in a pan using the stalk you put a side steam the vegetables you will be surprised of how the flavors will be stimulating.
Easy way to make a healthy meal using healthy cooking methods, plus the meal is budget friendly.
Serves one and trust me i was so full i needed to relax first before doing the dishes.
